Whether you are a local resident, or visiting from out of town, you should consider checking out every one of these local spots on the list to experience all of the outstanding breweries on Whidbey Island.

We have listed these breweries in order from the north part of the island to the south. If you are visiting, it can help you plan out an itinerary based on location if you are interested in doing a brew hop.

Flyers Restaurant and Brewery
This family-friendly restaurant and brewery is located in Oak Harbor on north Whidbey Island. Dependent on the weather and season, you can enjoy outdoor seating on their patio, which is also dog-friendly!
You can expect to find a wide variety of menu items such as award-winning burgers, steak, wings, seafood, sandwiches, and more. You can enjoy 12 craft brew taps, cocktails, martinis, and more.

Wicked Teuton Brewing Company
Wicked Teuton Brewing Company is located in Oak Harbor on the north part of Whidbey Island. They have 20 great beers and ciders on tap, as well as craft sodas, too. You are welcome to bring outside food, and they do serve snacks.
Wicked Teuton hosts many exciting nights, such as paint classes, trivia nights, live music, and more. During the summer, you can enjoy floats made out of any of their drinks.

Penn Cove Brewing Company
Penn Cove Brewing Company currently has two locations on Whidbey Island. North Whidbey Island is home to the Coupeville Brewery & Taproom. The Freeland Brewery & Taproom is located south of Coupeville in Freeland.
Each beer that they brew has a name that is connected to Whidbey Island, with beers such as Madrona Way IPA and the Coupeville Lager, to seasonal favorites such as Whidbey Warmer Fireside Ale and my personal favorite, the Mutiny Bay Blueberry Blonde.
You can expect to find fun and engaging nights for the community, such as karaoke, game board, and trivia nights, as well as live music events. On Wednesdays – Sundays, you can grab food from the Braeburn at the Barnyard food truck next to the Freeland Brewery and Taproom.

Double Bluff Brewing Company
Double Bluff Brewing Co. is named after Double Bluff Beach on south Whidbey Island. Owned by husband and wife duo, Daniel and Marissa, you can find their brewery in downtown Langley.
They serve modern and traditional ales and lagers, and have won two Washington Beer Awards Gold Medals!
Double Bluff Brewing Co. has a cozy patio with four fire pits where you can enjoy a delicious draft, listen to the occasional live music event, and even bring your own food, kids, and dogs!
They host the Back Alley Summer Jam Concert Series during the warmer months, which is an enjoyable way to bring together the community with live music (a lot of the musicians are local to Whidbey Island!)

Thirsty Crab Brewery
Thirsty Crab Brewery is a family-run business, owned by Jeff and Erin Hanson, along with their kids Nate and Kacie. You can expect to find a great variety of beers and ciders on tap, and a great vibe overall.
This South Whidbey brewery hosts trivia every Monday night at 6:30 PM, and has live music events often. They are family-friendly and dog-friendly!
They also own the Build-a-Brat Food Truck, just outside their doors, which features delicious brats, and sides such as fries, pretzels, cheese curds, and more! (We love the Greek fries!)

Ogres Brewing
Ogres Brewing is located on Bailey’s Corner in Clinton, WA. Their tasting room is open on Thursdays – Saturdays from 3 PM – 7 PM.
Their tap room has a great ambiance, and they occasionally host live music. Although they are not open daily, you can still find their beer on tap next door at Bailey’s Corner Store beer garden and at Cozy’s Roadhouse in Clinton.

Greenbank Cidery
Greenbank Cidery is located on Front Street in Coupeville. You can try fresh and flavorful ciders made from expertly-grown heirloom apples harvested right out of their very own orchard here on Whidbey Island. Stop by and take a sip—you won’t regret it!
During the holiday season, they had a winter special that we tried. The hot spiced hard cider, which was slightly sweetened and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon, as well as a maple donut! It was absolutely delicious!

Misfit Island Cider Company
Head to Misfit Island Cider Company for locally-made, unique and dry ciders. Every first Friday, stop in their tasting room to try some of their delicious cider while enjoying music from their resident DJ’s.
You can find their cider on tap at their tasting room in Langley, as well as several other breweries on and off the island. You can also find bottles for sale at multiple restaurants and stores on the island, including at various markets throughout the year.
